In Folio, scaled thumbnails generate empty space [#1535202]

When using the folio theme and after setting "thumbFit" to true and "thumbCrop" to Scale down so the entire image fits, I'm still getting thumbnails like this...

Spacing

Obviously the white space between the second and third thumbnail shouldn't be there.

If I re-arrange the images, I get even weirder results. It appears this isn't just a white space problem.

This is not an issue tracker for the Galleria library, just for its Drupal integration module.
