I found this out tonight, I thought the fusion mobile responsive theme didn't effect ie but it looks like it breaks the layout. It essentially makes it look like the mobile layout stretched out. Going to check the fusion queue as well and see if there is a solution for this. If I can't find one I might have to disable the mobile theme by default until this is worked out.

I remember testing in ie for the new mix and match theme and I didn't have any problems but tonight when I pulled up the site in ie, it appeared to be the mobile version but stretched out, so I need to see what exactly is happening.

I am going to have to disable the responsive layout for now until I figure this out.

I have disabled the responsive theme by default now in 1x dev until we get this resolved

I have dusted this off and got a workaround to fix ie. I also cleaned up a couple of minor CSS issues. Going to roll this out to dev.

OK got this pushed to dev and it is now referencing a new stable version of the OC theme which I have updated. I will need help testing this as I would like to push this out to 1.11.

I was missing a setting in the openchurch_theme project and so I had to fix that and re-push everything back to dev. I will test again when the packager updates dev.

I downloaded the core from the project page (openchurch-7.x-1.11-alpha2) and it resolved the "mobile" issue, but i still face a slight problem with formatting as seen here which displayed fine before this issue. i was also not on the dev release, i was on the stable release.

this problem however did not only affect IE 7/8, it affected me on Google Chrome Linux 21.0.1180.89

OK ya that is due to a long title and several menu items. You can resolve that a few different ways, typically via CSS.

I had a whole slew of updates this evening, and this issue was reinstated. i will try to get it back to normal in the morning. As for the menu, it is not wider than the page, so that should not be happening, I'm not sure why it was working fine before, but not now.

Did you clear your caches? I would say that there just isn't enough space to fit the long title and all of those menu items.

drupalninja99’s picture

I might add an option for an alternate header like I use on http://openchurchsite.com/ - that would make things easier as it can fit a lot more items on one line.

caches are cleared, but i don't see how there isn't enough room, there was before these updates. also, what about the mobile theme issue? i can't see to get it back to normal now.

It seems my browser was "zoomed in" one step, which was causing the menu to display in two lines. I'm not sure how this happened, as I don't use zoom. That being said, the mobile theme issue now appears fixed due to the openchurch_theme 7.x-1.0-alpha14 release.
