Back link and UX while taking quiz

While taking a quiz with backward navigation enabled, students change the answers or they answer the skipped questions during navigating backward. After they change an answer and try to continue to go backward they expect that system is saving their answer when they click on "Back" link. As it is designed, it does not save because it is not a button.

What I suggest is changing the "Back" link to a button and let it save the answer while navigating and reviewing the answers.
