CKEditor removing all tag attributes on node save

This issue just emerged for a client of mine - whenever I try to add an email address or URL to text, whether hard-coding or using the WYSIWYG editor button, all attributes disappear and I'm left with a blank <a> tag. This happens when I set the input to filtered and full. Help!
