Hello,

I am creating a little shop using Ubercart for a client who runs two fund raising events per year. They want their customers to be able to select the ticket type and number online, pay online and then have an e-ticket automatically sent to them after their payment has been made.

I want to know if it is possible to have an automatic email response for the e-ticket. Also, each e-ticket would have to have a unique serial number to prevent people from making fake copies.

So, the process would be:

1. User selects item and makes purchase.
2. Once the payment has been approved, an e-ticket with a unique number is sent out to their email address.
3. The transaction and ticket number will be logged automatically in the client's database, e.g. Ms. Jones bought two tickets for $80 and the ticket numbers sent to her were No. 1 and No. 2.

Is there a module that can do this? I want to save my client from having to manually go in and send each ticket and then log the transaction.

Thank you in advance for any help that can be offered.

M

There's a lot of information about selling tickets in the forums at ubercart.org. Please search there to find out how to do this.

Hello again,

I visited your suggested link and realized, once there, that I was actually reading that page earlier today. However, I am not a programmer and found it very confusing. Is there a more idiot proof version of instructions or a module that would be suitable for a designer with less of a techy head? Also, my client specified that they DON'T want a barcode and this tutorial is about creating a barcoded ticket.

Thanks,

Martha

I quote from avana:

"However it is still a very complicated setup to get working properly and I really don't recommend it to anyone who is not reasonably expert in Drupal.

I'm sorry, I know that isn't very helpful, but this is really pushing the limits of the technology and it's not something that you are likely to be able to get working without digging into the code and understanding it thoroughly."
