When I display a group of Nodes in Views 3 - the read More settings appear to be ignored. Is there a way around this? Otherwise it works great and I am sooooo grateful for this as I have been looking for a workaround!

Alan D. CreditAttribution: Alan D. commentedI ran a test and the settings I applied worked. You simply need to use the teaser view and allow links.

ñull CreditAttribution: ñull commentedWhat if you wanted only to show the date, not the author. Then you would need a fields view and this module does not support body field. Is there another way around it? Or should this become a feature request?

ñull CreditAttribution: ñull commentedWhen you choose "teaser view" you have the limited core settings to either show or not show the author and date between title and body. But what if you wanted to show only the date?
There are different ways to solve this in Drupal. One of them would be using a view with fields and only include the date field, which gives you even flexibility to locally (not globally) change the date format. However when you also would like to include the readmorecontrol functionality, then it is not possible because it does not work in field mode. I tried content body field in teaser mode and it won't hide the read more under the trim threshold.
You understand it better now?

Alan D. CreditAttribution: Alan D. commentedThis is a feature request that is easy to implement but would instantly turn on the read more element everywhere on everyones sites till a core bug is resolved (which is not likely now).
If all can have the read more, it is fairly easy to embed a link in a view, but for integration, it is harder (new feature request). I would suggest looking at creating a custom node template / preprocessor to look at changing the submitted by text conditionally for this, much easier than parsing fields to see if a read more is required.
Title and Date equals Submitted by text which makes discussions related to this much easier to understand.
