I'm fairly new to Drupal and may be missing something obvious, but I'm not seeing exactly how I would go about targeting an existing field in a content type with encryption. I installed the module successfully and set the key outside of the site directory, but now I'm stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This module does not have field integration, or really any UI to speak of. Integration with Field API is scheduled for the 7.x-2.x release, which is forthcoming.
