Calendar is functioning properly. Calender View access is unrestricted. All users have permission to access all views. The event Taxonomy Menu Block functions properly. However, only when logged on as an Adminstrator can the events be viewed in the Calendar Page and Calendar Block. This issue has been reported in the forums and the recommendations are limited. One posting says the calendar module has a menu hook code that limits access to people with administer views permissions. I gave everybody administer views permissions and tested the calendar as a non-administrator user--didn't work.

Thought it was me as new to Drupal / not a techie.
In Administration>>Structure>>Blocks, View: Calendar it clearly says at bottom of screen under 'Visibility Settings'
The Show Blocks on specific Pages is set to all pages.
The minute I log out, the calendar completely disappears from view. Otherwise it is working fine, events are visible and can be clicked on for details etc. so long as I'm logged in as Admin.
Any suggestions please.

Try disabling Content Permissions. If that works, the problem is somewhere in your content permissions configuration.
For Drupal 7.x, I am not very familiar with what happened to Content Permissions in the CCK -> Fields in Core transition.
I don't think Content Permissions made into core. Instead, I *think* that functionality was migrated to the contrib Field Permissions module.

Not sure if this sorts out the original poster's problem or not?
