Looks like the link isn't quite right. I think this is related to #1175322: Sign up for event require first name and last name. I'm not clear on how that link is being constructed, but I'll try to ask ezra-g about it this week.

Meanwhile, you should be able to add your full name here, and then the signup should work:

The init changed from being an http:// link to a scheme-less url #1338004: Do not store master protocol in init to better support mixed SSL domains to provide better support for ssl and mixed-mode.
