Provide a better error message than "Please supply a valid date." [#1617852]

(1) I went to a quiz question
(2) saved it
(3) I end up on its quiz manage questions page, with the error message "Please supply a valid date.", but no way to supply a valid date and no indication of where a valid date is to be supplied.
