Hi,
As stated on the project page: It uses a discount price component type by default, which makes it compatible with price formatting modules such as Commerce Price Savings Formatter.

In that module you also can add a normal and a sale price.
What is the difference between these two modules please? Can you provide a screenshot of how the output of this module looks like to the user?

Thanks a lot in advance for your reply.

greetings, Martijn

Hi,

As I understand it, Commerce Price Savings Formatter is just a price field formatter. In Drupal Commerce the price field has different components, and this formatter lets you use those components to display the price in various ways. However it doesn't allow you to set the sale price. That needs to be done elsewhere. If you watch pcambra's video about using Commerce Price Savings Formatter he uses a blanket rule to apply discounts to multiple products.

Commerce Sale Price gives you a couple of fields you can use in conjunction with a rule to allow you to specify the sale price on a per-product basis (as opposed to 10% off all products for example).

I hope that clears things up. I've only used Commerce Price Savings Formatter a few times, so I might've missed something.

Thanks
