Undefined index: validate_argument_transform in views_plugin_argument

Hello ive been using Views 6.2. then i found i was getting a load of errors. Ive upgraded to Views 3 but i still keep getting these errors, maybe 100+ per minute. Its soul destroying.

Notice: Undefined index: validate_argument_transform in views_plugin_argument_validate_taxonomy_term->convert_options() (line 64 of /home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/sites/all/modules/views/modules/taxonomy/views_plugin_argument_validate_taxonomy_term.inc).

the line in question is this-

$options['transform'] = $this->argument->options['validate_argument_transform'];

Ive lost a hell of a lot of work trying to locate te problem. I have to go to sleep. Ive been uninstalling things for hours. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
