I am using Sweaver for the first time and everything seemed to be going swell until I started getting an error when trying to publish changes. The error is two part: 1) Sweaver generates an error saying that the css file could not be created, and 2) drupal also generates an error saying: Warning: fopen(public://sweaver/sweaver_mysite.css): failed to open stream: "DrupalPublicStreamWrapper::stream_open" call failed in sweaver_plugin_styles->sweaver_export_file() (line 434 of /var/www/drupal/sites/all/modules/sweaver/plugins/sweaver_plugin_styles/sweaver_plugin_styles.inc).

This is a permission issue. Please check your permission folder, public://sweaver should be writable to ensure correct behavior

Thanks, Quentin. folder is currently/has been at 755. This should be adequate, correct? Still get the error. Checked permissions all the way up and no red flags.

Yes that should enough if www-data is set as group or owner.

The permissions settings don't seem to be affecting the error. Any other ideas?

According to PHP issue tracker, this can be due to an unstable PHP version. What PHP version are you using ?
