I have 2 websites that I'm having issues with end users not being able to login to the blog only when they are using IE. If they use Firefox, Chrome, or Safari there are no issues. I have looked through any documentation I can find and every recommendation has not worked, or I have already made the recommended setting changes. All the end users get is their login failed. Also these site are hosted sites on Network Solutions systems so I do not have direct access to the unix environment and they do not allow upgrades to the version of Drupal (7.4) without the added cost of running an independent server. The only other unique configuration properties of these websites are the DNS names are from GoDaddy.com and are using a blind redirect to the sites running at Network Solutions.

Hi,

You could try providing more information such as which version of IE is not working. I don't think that certain versions are supported as they are too old and it is too much work for the developers to support them such as IE6.

I have a site with BlueMasters theme and can login with Windows 7 Ult, IE9.

Best wishes, Phil.

Phil,
I use IE 9 on a Win 7 system. I believe the issue is related to the blind redirect from GoDaddy to Network Solutions. If I use the DNS name from GoDaddy (http://www.politicaanticrimen.com) and attempt to login the login fails. If I go directly to the site (http://www.mareaalta.com/drupal1/) and login then the login works. I can get you a test userid if needed.

Hi,

Sorry but I don't know much about that side of things, I just wanted to help move the issue further.

You will probable get better support in a different area of Drupal.org as this is the issue for the theme which I know more about and hence why I check back here for issues.

Try searching Drupal.org and starting an issue in a more relevant section and close this issue if you get more support there.
If this is only occurring with IE then a Google search on IE DNS issues may help as it could be an issue unrelated to the Drupal CMS.

I hope this helps you along to solving the issue.

Best wishes, Phil.

Phil,
I have tried searching and have tried every recommendation I found with no luck resolving the issue. It was also recommended to post here from the main site. So now I getting bounced back to where I first posted this issue.
