Upgrading the Blueprint theme from 6.x-1.7 to 6.x-2.x breaks our subtheme. This subtheme was designed by a contractor. Can you please point us to where we can find information on what to do to fix the subtheme so that it works with the updated version of the blueprint theme.

Sorry but there isn't really an upgrade path from 1.7 -> 2.x. The fact is that while the Drupal theme it's self changed significantly, the Blueprint framework has not changed. My recommendation to you would be to stick with the 1.x line.

The 2.x line significantly rewrote the base theme portions and redid the way that sub-themes work with Blueprint, thus the lack of an upgrade path.
