Do you have your own blog site that you update frequently? Do you tend to seek and gather information from other sources to maintain your blog site to be up-to-date? If you consider yourself as an active blogger and you have a blog site that is news- or research-oriented (as opposed to the personal journal type), we would like to talk with you about your blogging-related information activities, your decisions related to selecting (or rejecting) content for your blog site, and general credibility issues.

I am John Simpkins and am working with an Associate Professor in the School of Information at the University of Michigan. This study is a part of the larger research project called “Credibility Assessment in the Participatory Web Environment,” funded by the MacArthur Foundation (http://credibility.si.umich.edu).

If you are interested in this study, we would like to talk with you over the telephone or Skype for about 45 minutes. We would like to interview you about your blogging activities in general. As a token of our appreciation, you will receive a $50 Visa Gift Card. To be eligible, you have to be 18 years of age or older. Interested? Please send an email to sicredibility@umich.edu along with a link to your blog site.

We look forward to talking with you soon.

Best wishes,

John Simpkins
