LinkedIn also offers the possibility to announce events.
I would like to publish my event as my LinkedIn "profile". The problem is now that LinkedIn events start like this http://events.linkedin.com/... and when I use this URL, social media substitutes the "events" with "www". Another possibility would be to use the LinkedIn sharing short code http://linkd.in/... But it is also not accepted.
Is there any possibility to change this behavior or another workround to include a social media logo without any restrictions?

Just go into Structure - Widgets, select your "set name" and "Override defaults". Then you could add a "custom markup" where you could just enter your HTML code (a and img tags from the LinkedIn logo) and change the href to whatever you like.
Maybe this helps anybody who has the same problem.
