I'm not sure there's any need for the call to exit() to be called at the end of the page callback. Getting rid of it allows Drupal's regular shutdown functions to happen, including Statistics calls, but more importantly, the URL gets cached and subsequent requests to that page are served much more quickly.
Is there a compelling reason to exit() without going through the usual Drupal exit?

heddnGets fixed in #1785452: Location & Description only work if using the 'default' view_mode.
