confirmation popup problem

i have a very strange problem with the request confirmation popup. sending a relationship request works fine, but when the other user wants to accept or deny the request and clicks at one of both links the popup window shows the user profile of the current user. when i turn off ajax then the user is directed to his profile page after clicking at deny or accept but nothing happens, the request is still there.
