Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
I was checking out your demo at http://drupaljobs.epiqo.com and cannot figure out how you were able to get the views exposed search filter to use auto-complete working on your search indexed views with the standard database search from the Search API that comes as part of the Recruiter distribution. I cannot find this functionality anywhere or documentation on how to implement it. Thanks.

It looks like we would need tomcat/java for this to run.
Unfortunately our client doesn't have the budget for a dedicated or VPS so it's back to the drawing board.

http://drupal.org/project/search_api_autocomplete currently only supports SOLR, so yes you need solr if you want to use this module.
