Statuses - Siblings terms | Related terms [#1780842]

Hello,

Is there a way to have a block under statuses/term/[term:name] which shows Sibling terms from [term:name] argument?

I tried making a Block-view with a Relationship --> Taxonomy term:Parent term and Contextual Filter --> (Parent)Taxonomy Term:Name but is just shows nothing.

There is also recommended under Statuses-tags view configuration to convert Term:name to Term:id, but when I do so then no Statuses are showed under statuses/term/[term-name] page, so that's why I'm moving on through [Term:name] instead of [Term:id]. Perhaps here is the problem, but I did not find out how to solve it.

I think is an interesting feature because this module is a lot used for Countries and Cities hence would be nice to being able to show Cities under the same Country.

This is not a feature that would be added to this module, and unfortunately Views doesn't offer a "sibling" filter even though doing so should be pretty straightforward (and completely unrelated to Statuses). There is an issue about that here: #1084402: Show all terms which share the same parent - is it possible?

If what you really want is the ability to show statuses that fall under sibling terms, I think we should discuss that as part of #1266020: Statuses (Social Microbolg) with synonyms.
