k, I have searched, read, and applied the various options that people have mentioned that might get this to show up... but for the life of me I can't get my own logo to show. I have tried placing the logo link in the style.css file and in the xtemplate.xtmpl file. I've also tried removing it from one of them to see if it's because it had conflicting information coming at it from two different sources... that didn't do the trick either.

I am at a total loss. Anyone got some time to spare to help me out here?

Here are the kinds of things I've run into that could cause a problem like you're having:
1. The logo file hasn't actually been uploaded to your server. It exists in your local file system but not on the server.
2. The file name is not exactly the same as the logo specified in the configuration settings. I looked at the source for the link you specified. It gives the img source as: files/tenmarkmedialogo.jpg.
3. The path to the file is not the right one. If files is not in your root, then put the full path.
4. The "use default logo box" on the configuration settings page is still checked.
These are all simple things but they tripped me up from time to time in the heat of configuring, so I thought I'd share them.
If all else fails, copy your logo image over the top of the default logo file (I think it's logo.gif) and recheck the "use default logo" box.
Hope this helps.

thank you SO much for your reply! ... I had already tried everything you suggested, but I thought that trying to replace the logo file again couldn't hurt. So that's what I did... and wouldn't you know it worked!

If anyone else is having problems with getting their own logo to show up, please try replacing it with the default logo. Make sure it's the exact same file type and name. I tried doing this with a different file type, but that didn't show. It was using the exact same file type and name that did the trick!
