I was running the latest stable release, but experienced "Notice: Undefined index: MOV in theme_video_formatter_player()" and no video loading on the page.

So I thought I'd try the dev release in case the problem has been fixed.

I'm now running the latest dev release, and I can see the video, but I have a new error message being shown:
Notice: Undefined index: entity_type in theme_video_formatter_player() (line 92 of /var/www/sites/all/modules/video/video.theme.inc).

Any ideas?

The video is a .MOV quicktime movie, and as part of my experimentation I've tried changing the player in the video settings from Quicktime to HTML5, but that didn't make any difference.

For what it's worth I'm also seeing the following error when loading /admin/config/media/video/metadata:

Notice: Undefined index: video_metadata_admin_settings in drupal_retrieve_form() (line 765 of /var/www/includes/form.inc).
Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function 'video_metadata_admin_settings' not found or invalid function name in drupal_retrieve_form() (line 800 of /var/www/includes/form.inc).
- aside from the error, the page is empty.

I'm not seeing anything relevant in the PHP logs, and all PHP error reporting is turned on.

Comments

For what it's worth, the same thing happens with an AVI container.

Removing JW player and using Video.JS instead fixed both errors... (although I can't say I know why)... so for now I'll assume this is a JW player issue and close this one.

I think somewhere in the process you've cleared the cache and that solved the problem.
