Good Day,
I get this error message when I try to enable the module
Email_verify.module has tried contacting the mail host @drupal.org, but didn't receive any reply.
Check with your hosting provider that the function fscokopen() is properly configured on your server, and that the port 25 is open.
The module email_verify has been disabled.
Thanks,
Mark

I have contacted my host company regarding this, they can open the port but only for a certain IP, remote IP as they have termed it. I don't know what to give them? Any info is appreciated.
Thank you,
Mark

beginner CreditAttribution: beginner commentedI am sorry I cannot help you further.
I don't know what your host means.
If they mean that you can only contact a mail server at one specific IP, then this module is useless for you.
If it any consolation, I cannot use this module either. Actually, this whole module is a security issue, allowing spammers to use your web site to check out the existence of some email addresses.
