Hi,

I am a newbie trying to figure out if I can convert our PTA site to Drupal. Our site is www.vlpta.org and is written mostly in PHP, XML and HTML. I am having trouble figuring out how to convert to Drupal. I have looked at several Distributions (mainly Julio) and am not sure how to make it work. Does anyone have better suggestions.

There's no easy way to 'convert' a site to drupal-- it's basically a process of rebuilding it in drupal and importing content where possible export to CSV if possible, then use the feeds module to import into the new drupal site).

For the most part that's a pretty standard group type site-- you could checkout the openoutreach and commons distros as starting points, but they may be overkill. That site appears to be mostly just content, PDFs, a calendar, and some forms-- pretty standard drupal functionality.
