Based on the feedback at #1751662: Couldn't index items. Check the logs for details., it is not apparent that the Search APi schema has to be selected. The connector should check the schema and add a very loud warning if the correct one isn't being used.

Search API handles the logging, and if the appropriate info isn't there we should either explicitly add a log message in this connector or post a patch against Search API to support more detailed messages.

drunken monkeyMight be solved with #2130827: Add additional Solr server information to the Server overview, and the red error message if the wrong schema is used. Or should it be even louder?
