d.o. packaging issue tracked down (thanks to infrastructure team!).

Package has been refined, latest core and this (while claiming beta) has been in production for over a year now. This specific version in production for a semester.

For future reference, ELMSLN is currently treating master as production until development slows enough to get into version numbers for the large package. This is a few successful builds, and the new base-line UX, away from being RC.

Bug fixes

Mostly updates across contrib, working to align fully with vagrant instances and production version of this so elmsln can work towards a point release.

Bug fixes

Latest versions of modules, many of which I author so they've been updated in contrib. This built successfully on my private VPS so it's time to repackage features, add sample content and move to beta (after this release).

As this is still marked alpha this is a pretty substantial reorg since the last release. This solidifies much of the CIS reporting architecture, should fix issues of installation, start to add in a work-in-progress theme and lots more content types.

There is also a CIS management menu area and a lot going on under the hood. API functions can be found in local modulename.api.php files though will need flushed out even further to make sense of.

We are now running CIS in production and this export is an attempt to bundle that system for release, more will still follow.

  • field collections definitions updated
  • RestWS SERVICE_ACCOUNT role permission defaults established
  • example make file for local development included that has oAuth required library til it clears packaging white-list
  • CIS management console added to administration menu at the top

Documentation is pending as well as a screencast showing how to start to take this from 0 to information system but everything is there and installing correctly now. Basically, You have Services, Courses, and some other random things. Services are other remote Drupal stacks which the automated scripts (included in install profile directory) allow you to craft drush command files that will build on those services correctly. Courses are for organization, presentation, data management, as well as course instance (offering / section) management.

Bug fixes

Updated contrib modules, content type and views defaults all updated based on real world integration of MOOC and CLE distributions with this one.

Back end script is now included as well in profiles/cis/automation_scripts. This needs further testing but has its own bash script that can be used to implement it on your server.

cis 7.x-1.0-alpha1

New features

Initial release to create a starting point for a Course Information System. Mostly about getting the patches, modules / toolsets, install routine, libraries, and decent starting point in place to be able to build system off of. Most notable inclusion is Google Chart Tools dev with two patches.
