I would like to use the latest version of Colorbox on our Commerce Kickstart 2.0 based site, but it requires Libraries API 2.0.
I see that Commerce Kickstart already includes Libraries API 1.0, which is nearly 2 years old now and 2.0 has been stable for over 3 months.
Is it safe to upgrade to Libraries API 2.0? Maybe Commerce Kickstart could upgrade to it too?
If I can upgrade it, do I upload to /sites/all/modules, or overwrite the bundled one?
Thanks.

But some modules needs the Libraries API in his 2.x version, and kickstart is in late about it.
It would be great to update it in the next releases.

That said, no reason why we can't switch to the new branch of the module (unless the BC break affects other modules, we'll see). Updating issue to a task.

It would be good if we can get Kickstart updated to 2.0 though.
