I'm using plupload 1.5.4.
When attempting to browse for files to upload, I don't get the expected UI to perform the upload. See attachment. I only get this in Chrome. It works in Firefox, Safari and IE 9.

slashrsm CreditAttribution: slashrsm commentedHm... I am unable to reproduce this error with the exactly same configuration. I doubt that this has something to do with this module. I could be some other module or chrome plugin. Have you tried to search through Plupload library issue queue? What about stack overflow?
I'd also recommend you to upgrade Media to latest stable version.
