I got this error on production site, spontaneously without changing any code, db.
Recovered the site by resetting the Apache.

Don't know how to reproduce.

I suspect that it's caused by the apc module.

Anyone had this problem before?

Nope, never seen it before ...

The error is in entity_get_controller(), are you sure this has anything to do with APC?
