Number of values

Is there any plan or any plugin that adds a number of values to a field?

For example, this would be very useful for adding more than one image (this can be done with a plugin), but also for adding more than one colleagues that worked on the same project (this is what I am trying to accomplish). Of course, I could just hack the system on the client side, but I wouldn't like to do it this way.
