Hey everybody,

I am testing the 7.x version a bit, i see you support Google Analytics, i wonder if it would be possible to extend that a bit to also support Piwik.

I have rewritten most of the module now so that you can plug in your own module to rewrite URL's to allow for other statistics engines to track everything. (the new dev release should be available shortly)

You can take a look at the submodule simplenews_statistics_ga for the Google Analytics example. If you just copied that to your own module and made some changes to it, you should be able to get it to work with piwik.

Please do provide further feedback if you try and implement this. It is still in development and problems might popup. Don't hesitate to post them here so I can help you out with this.

I'll clone it, indeed look easy enough, I'll submit a patch when i have one ready. Piwik is a neat tool, i know lots of people using it, so are you willing to accept a patch to implement yet another submodule?

Like the previous maintainer, I would be happy to incorporate a sub-module or have you create this feature in a separate module.
