If an image has no description, the following shows up in Drupal logs:

Notice: Undefined index: und in media_gallery_detail_page() (line 92 of /var/www/drupal/sites/all/modules/contrib/media_gallery/media_gallery.pages.inc).

This can be avoided by applying the attached patch.

It seems, you have a patched media gallery. Thats not the source code of media_gallery.
