Background
I have a multilingual site. A content type with a term reference field. The site uses the localized variant of taxonomy (as opposed to translated). Pathauto_i18n_taxonomy module installed to have multilingual aliases, such as ones quoted on the moules page:

www.url.com/de/hund/alt
www.url.com/en/dog/old
www.url.com/fr/chien/agee

Problem
The aliases generated for taxonomy terms alone, using the module are OK. However, the node patterns, utilizing the term reference field token (such as [node:field_genre:name]), are mixed. I'm getting multilingual aliases with the term part always in English (set as the source language everywhere), as in:

www.url.com/de/dog/old/hund-1.html
www.url.com/en/dog/old/dog-1.html
www.url.com/fr/dog/old/chien-1.html

My approach and understanding, taken from another mono-lingual site I built before, is that it's better to bulk update the aliases sequentially. First generate those for taxonomy terms, once ready - generate content aliases. This does not seem to work anymore. Moreover, any UI workarounds are impossible because the token assortment for term fields are narrowed (as reported in http://drupal.org/node/1866156).

Please have a look why the source language is imposed.
