Edit functionality for field collection element on node

I am displaying field collection item on node from node.tpl file with help of render function,
and by doing that I am getting edit and delete button,
but after clicking on edit button, my changes are not saving though a message is dispaying that changes have been saved.

Do you have any idea for this.
