In the WebKit browsers Chrome and Safari, navigating between Colourise-themed pages results in a flash of white as the dark background is replaced by a blank page, until the next page loads. After a while, especially in a dark room, this is headache-inducing.

Granted, this could be considered a browser bug, but if you look at the bug reports for Chromium and for WebKit, you'll see that this shows no signs of being fixed any time soon. The bug has also no doubt been reported to Apple, Safari's developer, many times. Therefore, if it's possible and not too much work (I'm not a web designer), please lay down a dark background that can remain in place between page loads. Thanks.

It looks like there's progress on the Chromium side if you check the ticket link I gave in the OP, so that's good news for us, and really for everyone who uses dark-background sites in Chrome.
