Hellow, I'm wondering if is there any possibility to attach workflows to field collection items (FCI)?
In my specific case I'm triying to set a workflow to invoice items (lines) which are FCI, every invoice item has a budget account, that account has responsible for sign or approve charges to that account
Is there any chance to achieve this ?
Thanks in advance

johnvThis would be possible if Workflow were a 'true' Field API field, as proposed in #2019345: Create a 'Workflow Field' with Widget, Formatter, Fieldtype

johnvThis should be working now using Workflow Field. Please re-open if there is a problem.

gusantor CreditAttribution: gusantor commentedWorkflow Field isn't solution for me :(
I dont need just to hide/show fields depending of the Host entity workflow state, but to give the FCI its own WF (i.e.: approved, rejected, paid, etc)
by now I'm just doing it programmatically , it is slow, hard to maintain and lacking of all te tracking benefits of real WF
is there a way to achieve this functionality ?

johnv@gusantor, please re-open the issue when you have a new question (or create a new one). So you still cannot add a Workflow to a Field Collection? So this is not solved in your opinion?

hassanali20 CreditAttribution: hassanali20 commented@gusantor - did you find a solution to your probelm? I have similar situation to logically divide the node fields and have approval workflow on each field collection (or group of fields).
Ex: an article node having editorial data and images, both are reviewed and approved by two different people.

gusantor CreditAttribution: gusantor commented@hassanali20, Hi, nope, at least not by the way of WF
I just did it programmatically
Somewhere I read that it is possible to add WF to FCI (or entities generally speaking), but I haven't the time to try or investigate :( ... sorry
