This is only a beta release, but it took me awhile to track down an issue after upgrading a Drupal 7 site (core and contrib). It was tracked down to Color Field where content using the previous widget wasn't switched to a default of the new code in beta2. Not sure if you want to use time coding that, but it would be nice, especially for large sites that made heavy use of the first beta release.

According to the classic maintenance strategy that type of migration starts being supported from beta 1 to the stable release, i guess that if you had a development version of the module installed that may be why you had your widget broken.
I am not going to write the update function since there hasn't been any change between the two betas for now.

Thanks for pointing the issue, i just renamed the title to let other people find the resolution method if they face the same issue.
