Looking for sync integration with drupal and civicrm. There is also a civicrm module http://connect.mailchimp.com/integrations/mailchimp-civicrm-sync but it has not been updated in about 1 year and looks abandoned. Does not seem to sync with smartgroups and there is no community development. would it make sense to merge into one drupal module?

sonicthoughts CreditAttribution: sonicthoughts commentedJust to let people know, there is considerable interest in mailchimp / civicrm integration. I imagine a lot of the logic is similar, although it requires civicrm API access.... Here are some threads on the topic:

There are several similar initiatives - would be great if we could consolidate functionality.

dewolfe001 CreditAttribution: dewolfe001 commentedI totally agree. It would be great to have the CiviCRM fields available for the mail merge fields from admin/config/services/mailchimp/lists/[#]/edit -- it makes sense that a CiviCRM Mailchimp modules with these as prerequisites would be hand and allow that info to be discovered. Another way to pull off the integration is in the Profile2 could tap into more CiviCRM fields.

hansrossel CreditAttribution: hansrossel commentedThe Targetintegration module has apparently been removed by Mailchimp because of too many issues.
There is now also a different approach in https://civicrm.org/extensions/mailchimp-sync (source code: https://github.com/sciencegalleryderek/com.sciencegallery.mailchimp).

Poieo CreditAttribution: Poieo commentedIn case anybody comes across this, there is now an updated version that builds on the extension mentioned in comment #6:
https://civicrm.org/extensions/mailchimp-civicrm-integration/version-10-...
Marking this as 'Won't Fix' since there probably won't be any integration done by this module.
