When I enable jQuery Mobile module, the theme breaks and its plain, unthemed text and blue links. Tried on a clean drupal install and got the same issue

When you use the jquerymobile module you have to make sure you configure it correctly with the jquerymobile library either hosted or appropriately configured in your local environment.
