I'm looking for transition effects more like the ones found on this page http://www.bedrockmgt.com or http://sliderjs.org/ - is it possible to use other js libraries with this module? I'm sorry if I'm very ill-informed about this subject.

This is a good question.
Has anyone experimented with extending Views Slideshow to allow for alternate transition effects?
If so, how did you do this and what were the results?
