Can't switch between Event Registration types

I want to have a different registration form for different events.
My idea is to create multiple registration types in content / Registration / Registration types
You can change the registration type in the field settings ( in Content types / Event / field_registration / edit / Registration ) but not when you actually create a new event. The field just doesn't show up. not even in the Manage Registrations / Settings
If i make a new field with entity reference, I can select it but it does not register.
