It would be nice if we could choose to play entire albums instead of only single tracks by having a play button next to the track title.

I agree. I think the most useful combination is a play/pause button next to each playable link, with a global controller with play, pause, next, prev, scrubber, time either floating somewhere on the page or somewhere near the top of the page.
