Drupal newbies have no clue what a module, a theme or a distribution is. The might just want to try Drupal.

I suggest to add a description like "Confused? Enter Drupal to try out the Drupal CMS." under the field.

And "Drupal" could be linked to the most recent Drupal 7 form submission like http://simplytest.me/project/drupal

That was kind of the intention I had with the "What is this?" thing on the left hand site, showing a screenshot of the fields prefilled with "drupal"..

Rather than adding more text (I already tried field descriptions, but that + placeholder text make it look very overloaded) maybe we should make the "What is this?" button more visible.. (maybe by letting it dance the harlem shake if the user didn't start typing after 30 seconds^^)

And maybe after he closes the "what is this?"...
...we pre-fill the project name with "drupal"
...or replace the placeholder with "why not try «drupal»?'"
...or generally put a tooltipp with "why not try «drupal»?'" on that field

Not sure, but as said, I'd rather not put a description there
