Hi,
I've just upgraded from Drupal 5.2 to 5.3. Everything has gone great except Gotcha seems to get redirected to for every page that's loaded. I've deleted the Gotcha modules directory and the site functions normally. Copying the module back and run the update script with the following result:
The following queries were executed
gotcha module
Update #5100
* Failed
Loading pages redirect back to the admin/ gotcha/logs page which then errors again. Any idea?

NancyDruUnless you are going to provide a patch, you shouldn't assign a problem to yourself.
Update 5100 can be safely ignored. It will have no effect on anything. But that is a really old update - we're up to 5103 already. Are you using the latest -dev version or something considerably older?
Since it tried to run an update, you obviously didn't uninstall the module. If you don't have a lot of stuff in the log table, you might try that: uninstall and re-install.
NancyDruAre the blank emails coming from your site or here at Drupal.org. I'm getting a lot of those suddenly.

rastarr CreditAttribution: rastarr commentedHi Nancy,
Sorry about the ticket assignment - a simple matter of not understanding the interface. Now I know, I know.
Yes, I've tried the uninstall and reinstall process as well.
I upload the module after I've had to delete the directory to get the site back up and running. Once uploaded, it's ticked as active in the module list. I untick it, save configuration, go into uninstall and uninstall it it. All OK at this point and site is running.
Going back into the list, I tick the Gotcha module and save and Firefox eventually gives me the error 'The page isn't redirectly properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.'
Once I delete the Gotcha directory again and reload the page, I'm given the message and a long list such as:
# Gotcha "Go Away" page set to 2. The settings can be adjusted here.
# Okay, I sent '' (#name)
# Okay, I sent '' (#name)
# Okay, I sent '' (#name)
# Okay, I sent '' (#name)
# Okay, I sent '' (#name)
# Okay, I sent '' (#name)
# Okay, I sent '' (#name)
# Okay, I sent '' (#name)
I can navigate normally through the site once I click away from this page. Could it be the Gotcha page is kept somewhere that might not actually be existing or something like that?
I'm using the latest Official release dated 17th November, 2007 and have ensured it is by downloading it again.
It's a weird one I know and thanks for any help you can lend to the issue to get it sorted.
Cheers
Martin

rastarr CreditAttribution: rastarr commentedYes, the blank emails are generated by my site once I cause the issue and get the site back to normal. They come from the admin account, are addressed to the admin account, have no subject or body text and I get heaps of them each time.
NancyDruThe "Okay, I sent..." message is from the "resend" function. The "Go Away page set.." is from the enabling code. I don't see how they can interact in any way.
For that matter, uninstall would delete the log and it would be empty when you re-enable it, so there would be nothing to resend.
I've never seen anything like "page isn't redirect" so I am totally in the dark on this part.
NancyDruIs this still happening?
rastarr CreditAttribution: rastarr commentedHi Nancy,
I just installed the latest dev version. Yes, the same thing is happening unfortunately per post 4. I had to delete the Gotcha directory to get things back to normal.
It must be a problem with some other module I've got installed since it isn't happening with any other site - weird.
NancyDruI sure would like a clue. I can't even come close to reproducing this problem. I've tried both FF and IE, MySql 4 and 5, and Drupal 5.1, 5.3, and 5.5.

rastarr CreditAttribution: rastarr commentedIf there's anything I can get or gather, please do ask. I'm just not sure what else to try to diagnose the issue.
NancyDruIf it's a test site, disable all your other modules (except Spam), and see if it still happens. Then enable them one at a time.
It is probably not one of these, because I use them:
Code Filter
Coder
FAQ
Faq_Ask
Glossary
Hovertip
Longer Node Titles
POT extractor
Schema
Sitedoc
Sitenotes
Taxonomy Image
Views
Comment #13
rastarr CreditAttribution: rastarr commentedIt isn't a test site unfortunately.
I'm pull the site down to localhost and see if it's still the same. If so, that'll allow me to try and pin point the issue.
If it doesn't behave the same locally, then that's something else to think about :)

rastarr CreditAttribution: rastarr commentedOK, it seems like the problem is some issue between Gotcha and FCKEditor module unfortunately.
Disabling FCKEditor allows Gotcha to load and function. Re-enabling FCKEditor shows the problem in post 4. This is with Drupal 5.5 as well as 5.6
Comment #15
NancyDruOkay, at least now I have some idea as to how I might be able to recreate this. Would you please also post an issue against FCKEditor?

rastarr CreditAttribution: rastarr commentedHi Nancy,
Sorry I haven't checked my Recent Posts in a little while.
I've closed the case at FCKeditor as I've got another new site running with them both and all is going well.
I need to find some time to track this down further now and determine the problem.
I suspect it might have something to do with a patched Nodewords and Panels but need to investigate further.
Cheers
