Locked fields should be rendered without fences

When installing a module that provides a content type with locked fields, the wrapper select cannot be altered, if this is the case and the module provides a template for the field, the template gets overridden by fences. This only seems to occur if fences is set to "Override the default wrapper markup with Fences’ lean markup (single div wrapper)." when the module is installed, and changing this setting does not turn off the fences rendering.
