Hello,
is it possible to create its own variables and then translate them via the page "Variable translation"?
Thanks.

joseph.olstadThe Variable translation module, part of the Internationalization (i18n) package, allows you to translate text and settings that are stored in Drupal as variables. These variables include text such as 'site name' and 'site slogan', as well as settings like 'Default front page' and 'Default 404 page'.
Issues that used to sometimes creep into this functionality have been fixed. I haven't seen a problem with this functionality in quite some time. (multilingual variables)
#1303518: Clean up the issue tracker. Close old issues without follow up.
