Can Media Gallery use image nodes instead of the image files? Titles, body, taxonomy missing.

Hello, I installed Media Gallery and told it to import images on the site.

However, once I began to create galleries, I realized none of the title, body and TID's are all missing. It seems instead of using the image content type (each of my images reside in the "image" content type with title and body created by File Convert module imported from D6), Media Gallery just imported the jpg files and use the file name as title.

How do I get Media Gallery to import from the image content types instead of just the files.

If not possible, is there a way to import all the titles/bodies/TID already in content types?

Is there another module that creates image galleries using the content type instead of just the image files?
