I've got a scenario where allowing more than one line item type per product seems like the only solution, but I don't think it is possible at the moment...

Let me describe the use case.

You have a website that sells event attendance. They have 20 different events and each event required providing a set of attendee information fields (the same fields for every event), and a couple of event-specific fields (different for every event).

That means creating 20 different line item types, which I think is unavoidable given the number of different products.

But it also means that for every one of those line item types, all the attendee information fields have to be manually created. If the attendee information fields are numerous - that's a lot of administration box ticking.

It's also an ongoing maintenance issue because if the organisation decides to add or remove a field on their attendee information forms, it'll mean changing all 20 line item types.

What would make it far easier would be if it were possible to assign more than one line item type to a single product. That way I can have one line item type (attendee information) which is used on numerous products and which can be managed in just one place, while also having line items specific to each product.

Unless there is an easier way of doing this that I have missed out?
