Hello,

I'm running Drupal 5.3 and openID 5.x-1.0. It just worked fine for me. Thanks for the nice module.

Now, I have an idea of giving my users, an openID. Is it possible with this module? I want to give a openID like username.mydomain.com

Please throw some light on this issue.

Thanks in advance.

At this time, openid module does not provide an openid server, however that has been proposed as a future possibility. In the mean time, you might check out openidurl module. It isn't an openid server but it lets you point a drupal url to an openid account on another server.

Thanks for your reply, HedgeMage.

Hope, a Drupal backed OpenId Server Module will be released soon.

Sorry, I have missed it.

I would also like to create an OpenID server just for Drupal environments that I'm hosting. I don't know if this is a good idea or not. Maybe people would prefer a single signon for all sites and not this sort of fragmentation. Comments?
The OpenID.org site refers to this phpMyID site for a "single user" custom OpenID. That site mentions maintaining multiple IDs. It would be nice to have more eyes on this subject. Regards.

Actually, there IS an openid server available for 4.7. It needs updating to D5 and D6. Please help.
